Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Emomotimi Guwor, and the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide have expressed their appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for appointing an Ijaw from the Niger Delta region, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, as the new Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
In separate congratulatory messages conveyed by the Delta Speaker and the IYC to Otuaro, copies of which were shared with journalists in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday, the appointments were hailed as significant developments.
Guwor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, lauded Otuaro’s appointment as “well-deserved and a very positive development in the Niger Delta region.” He emphasized Otuaro’s extensive experience and dedication to the region’s advancement, particularly in youth engagement.

Highlighting Otuaro’s track record in the Niger Delta struggle and meaningful youth involvement, Guwor described the appointment as a fitting choice, underscoring the importance of Otuaro’s credentials in securing the position.
Similarly, the IYC, in a statement jointly signed by Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr. and Amb Binebai Yerin Princewill, commended President Tinubu for recognizing Otuaro’s capabilities and responding to the aspirations of the Ijaw Youth Council and the Ijaw community.
Expressing confidence in Otuaro’s leadership abilities, the IYC praised the President for appointing a committed and result-oriented leader to oversee the Presidential Amnesty Programme, emphasizing Otuaro’s suitability for the role during this critical period in Nigeria’s development.
