“YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS WILL BE FIRST TO MOCK YOU IF YOU’RE BROKE” — RAPPER 2SHOTZ

Nigerian rapper William Orioha, popularly known as 2Shotz, has advised Nigerians to work towards achieving financial stability, warning that poverty can expose individuals to ridicule, even from family members and friends.

The advice was shared in a video on his Instagram page, where he emphasised the importance of having money and the freedom that comes with financial independence, ValidViewNetwork reports .

THE ADVICE

2Shotz was direct about the reality of poverty.

“Do your best to have money. The worst thing that can happen to you is for you not to have. Poverty is not good. The person who said money isn’t good isn’t well,” he said .

He clarified that his message was not about accumulating millions, but about having enough to afford basic necessities and make personal choices without depending on others.

“Hustle so you can make it. When you have money, it gives you the benefit of choice. And I am not talking about having millions in your account. Just have enough to be able to have at least two square meals, either as a man or a woman. Having money reduces ‘see finish,’ ” he added .

He warned that financial difficulties could affect how people are treated by those closest to them.

“If you don’t have, the first people who will laugh at you will be your family members, and it will be extended to your friends,” he stated .

WHY IT MATTERS

2Shotz’s message is a blunt reflection of a reality that many Nigerians know intimately.

Poverty is not just about lacking money. It is about the loss of dignity, the pity of relatives, and the casual cruelty of those who equate financial failure with personal failure.

His advice is simple: hustle, not for luxury, but for the freedom to choose. And to avoid the pain of being mocked by the people who are supposed to love you.

The rapper has spoken. The question is whether Nigerians will listen. ValidViewNetwork reports.
