FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, on Monday morning held a notable political engagement in Abuja, where he was spotted in the company of the Rivers State chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Those sighted with the former Rivers State governor were the Rivers APC Chairman, Chief Tony Okocha, and the Rivers PDP State Chairman, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron. The trio were seen together earlier in the day, a development that has further stoked discussions over the evolving political realignments involving key Rivers stakeholders at the national level.
Although details of the meeting were not immediately made public at press time, the presence of both the ruling APC’s state helmsman and the main opposition PDP’s state chairman alongside Wike is likely to be interpreted by observers as a significant signal in the ongoing political dynamics in Rivers State and within the broader national power play.
Wike, who currently serves as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, remains a central figure in Rivers politics and within the PDP, while also maintaining a strategic relationship with the APC-led Federal Government. The Abuja meeting, therefore, is expected to draw keen interest from political analysts and party faithful across party lines, as stakeholders watch for any concrete outcomes or realignments that may emerge in the days ahead.
