The Peoples Redemption Party has rejected allegations linking Senator Shehu Buba to terrorism and banditry.
The party challenged those making the allegations to provide evidence to support their claims.
Buba has also denied the allegations, arguing that viral videos and other material circulating online have been misleading or manipulated.
ValidViewNetwork reports that the controversy is not new, with earlier allegations dating back to 2024 and subsequent legal action involving people accused of cyberstalking, extortion and criminal defamation.
The allegations against the senator remain allegations and have not been established as facts by a court.
The PRP’s latest response therefore shifts attention back to the evidence behind the claims.
ValidViewNetwork reports that in a politically charged environment, accusations involving terrorism require particularly careful verification because of the serious consequences they can carry.
