Tunde Ayeni, former Chairman of Skye Bank Plc, has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding Adaobi Alagwu, who claimed to have a child for him. In an exclusive interview, Ayeni expressed deep regret over ever meeting Alagwu, describing the episode as one of the darkest moments of his life.
Ayeni revealed that he initially tried to manage the situation discreetly to protect his family and reputation but soon realized he was being blackmailed by Alagwu and her family. He emphasized that the child is not his and cited a March 11th, 2025 Magistrate Court ruling in Abuja that confirmed no marital affair or paternity link exists between him and Alagwu.

Currently, Ayeni is pursuing legal action to recover two properties occupied by Alagwu and her mother, who he accuses of exploiting him. He urged them to vacate the houses, warning that legal notices have been served.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Ayeni advised caution in personal relationships, stressing the importance of avoiding distractions that can lead to severe consequences. He also thanked his wife and children for their unwavering support throughout the crisis.

Ayeni concluded by condemning the manipulation and blackmail attempts by Alagwu’s camp and reaffirmed his commitment to clearing his name and restoring his legacy.
