ValidViewNetwork has confirmed that a man died from suspected electrocution along Trademore Road, Lugbe, in Abuja, on Friday, August 21, 2026, after attempting to cut cables from a transformer.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday when power was suddenly restored as the suspect was inside the transformer enclosure, ValidViewNetwork has learned.
Body Recovered and Taken to Mortuary
His body was found at the scene and conveyed to a mortuary at Gwagwalada for autopsy, according to Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh.
