
President Bola Tinubu was honoured with the Distinguished EuroKnowledge Leadership Award at a ceremony held at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London. The award, conferred by the international organisation EuroKnowledge during their Leadership Forum and Award Reception, recognises Tinubu’s transformational leadership, bold reforms, and dedication to repositioning Nigeria as a global investment destination. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, received the award on Tinubu’s behalf, citing the President’s vision for a $1 trillion economy, infrastructure development, food security, and improved welfare for Nigerians.
Also honoured was billionaire businessman Chief Kessington Adebutu, owner of Premier Lotto Limited and popularly known as Baba Ijebu, who received the Distinguished EuroKnowledge Lifetime Achievement Award in Business and Philanthropy. Adebutu’s award was received on his behalf due to his 90th birthday celebration in Nigeria. Other recipients included Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, CEO of Konga, recognised for Emerging Leadership in Digital Transformation, and Dr Stephen Akintayo, MD/CEO of GText Global Properties.
The award ceremony featured notable dignitaries including the First Lady of Kwara State, Amb. Prof. Olufolake Abdulrazaq, and senior Nigerian officials. The event acknowledged contributions to philanthropy, business leadership, humanitarian service, and community advancement, highlighting Nigeria’s growing stature on the global stage.
