Crystal Palace hosts Arsenal
The premier league is arguably one of the top five leagues in Europe whose absence since Sunday, May 22, 2022, has left fans with mixed feelings.
For some, it has been a relief, the end of a nightmare, and an opportunity for a quality rebuild while for others it has been a disappointment as they would like to see the opposition fans lament and wallow in their poor form a little longer.
But generally, everyone has missed the feeling, the excitement, the bant, the argument, and most especially the action.
The premier league is back and kicks off today as Crystal Palace hosts Arsenal at Selhurst Park by 20:00

Arsenal will look to win their first match of the season after a disappointing 2:0 loss to newly promoted Brentford last season. The gunners have used the break to strengthen their team with various signing amongst which is Gabriel Jesus, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

With refortification on the attack from the signing of Gabriel Jesus, who has been a threat in front of the goal throughout the preseason, the gunners will look to cling to their first win and pass a strong message to the rest of the league.
Crystal Palace has looked like a different team since the signing of their new coach Patrick Viera. The Frenchman has led the team to 15 wins, 15 draws, and 13 losses in 43 games since taking over as the manager, averaging a 1.40 PPG (point per game).

With players like Wilfred Zaha, Jordan Ayew, and Eberechi Eze amongst others, he will look to make a statement and add to their home win record against Arsenal.
In a Head to Head analysis, both teams have met 26 times, Arsenal clinging to the win 14 times (7 home, 7 away) and Crystal palace coming out triumphant 4 times (2 home, 2 away), and both teams walking away with a point a piece 8 times.
