SSCD: New MD Appointed!

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday approved the appointment of Miss Usoro Akpabio as the new Managing Director of the South South Development Commission (SSDC). The commission, established to coordinate and drive socio-economic development across the Niger Delta states, will now be led by Akpabio, whose portfolio and qualifications are still being confirmed.

Miss Usoro Akpabio’s appointment marks the second major leadership change Tinubu has overseen at the SSDC in less than two years. The commission’s mandate covers infrastructure planning, skills development and poverty alleviation in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo and Rivers states.
