​LAGOS — Afrobeat sensation Seyi Vibez has scrubbed his official X (formerly Twitter) account clean of controversial posts targeting celebrity chef Hilda Baci, bowing to intense pressure from legal representatives.

​The swift takedown follows a formal demand letter issued on August 15, 2026, by the prominent law firm Olaniwun Ajayi LP, who are representing Baci. According to the legal correspondence, the contentious posts surfaced on August 14 and quickly generated massive online engagement, pulling in approximately 4.3 million views, 7,100 reposts, 3,000 comments, and 45,000 likes.

​Legal counsel argued that the posts—which featured inflammatory claims regarding surgical procedures, catalogue finances, and damaging insinuations involving spiritual manipulation alongside food safety—crossed the line into malicious defamation. Baci’s team noted that the viral nature of the allegations directly exposed the renowned chef to severe harassment, online abuse, and substantial reputational damage.

​Consequently, the legal demand required the singer to permanently delete the contested content, publish an unreserved public apology and retraction across all active social media channels, and instruct his fan base to halt any further targeted hostility. Furthermore, the firm imposed a strict three-day ultimatum for a formal written undertaking to prevent any future recurrence, threatening full legal escalation in the event of non-compliance.

​Seyi Vibez has since complied with the initial removal directive by deleting the posts from his timeline, as legal observers monitor whether a public retraction will follow.
