Senate begins screening of Ministerial nominees

The Nigerian Senate on Monday started the screening of Ministerial nominees in Abuja.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had last week send a list of 28 Ministerial nominees to the upper legislative chambers for confirmation.

Some of the early nominees that were screened on Monday include the former governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike and Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev from Benue state.

The screening of Prof. Utsev however generated reactions among the senators over his year of enrollment in primary school.

The Senate did not asked the nominees much critical questions but simply asked them to take a bow.
