The Sky Blue Stars have organized a grand trophy parade across Remoland today, Friday, May 16, 2025, utilizing a custom open-top bus, a first for any football club in Nigeria.
The celebratory tour commenced at 9:00 AM from Our Saviour’s Anglican Church in Ikenne and will traverse key locations, including Aiyepe Junction, the Gateway International Stadium in Sagamu, Isale Oko, Ita Oba, Ijoko Road, the Akarigbo Palace, Remo Secondary School, Sagamu/Iperu Road, and Iperu/Ilisan Road. The parade will culminate at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, passing through Ilisan Roundabout and Obafemi Awolowo Avenue.

This landmark achievement marks Remo Stars’ first-ever NPFL title, a testament to the club’s consistent growth and investment in infrastructure, including their world-class stadium and top-tier training facilities. Their victory also breaks a 25-year jinx, making them the first club from the Southwest region to lift the NPFL trophy since Julius Berger in 2000.
The visionary leadership of Honourable Kunle Soname, the club’s chairman and a prominent figure in Nigerian sports, has been widely acknowledged as instrumental in this success. His commitment to professionalism and excellence has set a new standard for football administration in the country.
