Prove Strength At Home First, Alli Camp Tells Makinde

​The Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organisation (SSACO) has dismissed the Allied Peoples Movement’s (APM) call for President Bola Tinubu to step aside for Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde ahead of the 2027 presidential election, labeling it as the height of political hallucination.

​Reacting to the APM’s push, SSACO’s Director of Media and Publicity, Bisi Oladele, argued that securing the presidency requires concrete nationwide political structures rather than mere press statements and theatrical declarations. The campaign organization challenged the opposition party to prove its grassroots spread by fielding candidates across elective positions in at least one-third of the country.

​Furthermore, the organisation turned the heat back on Governor Makinde, claiming he is currently struggling to maintain political footing in his home state. SSACO alleged that the governor’s administration has severely undermined local government administration across the state’s 33 councils over the past seven years.
