The ̀Egbáliganza team attended the General Council Meeting of Chiefs to honor the warriors, rulers, and guardians of their culture, particularly the legacy of Lisabi Agbongbo Akala. Lisabi, a legendary figure, led the Egba people to victory against the Oyo Empire, securing their independence through strategic warfare and leadership. 

The annual Lisabi Festival, celebrated in March, commemorates this heroic feat, showcasing Egba traditions and values. By highlighting this legacy through fashion, the team aims to remind the world of the enduring impact of Lisabi’s bravery and cultural significance.
