Police arrest three muslim clerics for ‘beheading’ surveyor

The police in Oyo state have arrested three Islamic clerics for allegedly beheading a surveyor in the Moniya area of Ibadan in the state capital.

One of the clerics is said to be a landlord in the Alapata area of Ido LGA and his house is said to be located a few blocks away from the surveyor’s office.

According to a source, the deceased was a popular surveyor in Moniya area, adding that he was baited with a business opportunity and lured by one of the clerics to a bush where he was killed.

The clerics were said to have been arrested in the Sango area of Ibadan north LGA on Thursday.

According to reports, the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Iyaganku area of the capital city for further investigation.
