Lisha Dachor, a 19-year-old nail painter from Plateau State, has completed her attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest nail painting marathon by an individual.
During the event, known as a “nail-a-thon,” Dachor reportedly painted over 4,000 artificial nails within 72 hours.
Announcing her achievement on her Facebook page, Dachor expressed gratitude for breaking barriers and setting a new milestone in the world of nail art.
She also thanked everyone for their incredible support throughout her journey.
Dachor had announced her intention to undertake the challenge from April 28 to May 1 at Odilin’s Event Centre in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.

She aimed to use her record attempt to shine a positive spotlight on Plateau State and change the narrative about teen mothers like herself.
With the conclusion of the event, Dachor awaits the review of her attempt by the Guinness World Records, which will be based on evidence documenting her marathon nail-painting session.
The event’s conclusion was met with celebration and commendation from various individuals, including Plateau State Governor, Caleb Muftwang, who expressed pride in Dachor’s record-breaking spirit.
Dachor’s achievement adds to a series of recent Guinness World Records set by Nigerians, including Tunde Onakoya, who set a record for the longest marathon chess, and Clara Kronborg, who broke the record for the longest interview.
These accomplishments highlight the talent and determination of individuals from Nigeria.
