Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has announced important revisions to the church’s longstanding marriage regulations, clarifying that these rules are administrative guidelines rather than biblical mandates. The declaration was made during the 2025 Global Family and Marriage Conference.

Ban on Visits Lifted

One of the most notable changes is the official cancellation of the rule that prohibited women from visiting the homes of men they intend to marry. Pastor Kumuyi explained that such visits are now permissible during courtship, provided the couple is accompanied by a church elder as a chaperone.
