Staff from five Oyo State-owned tertiary institutions, including The Polytechnic Ibadan, Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa, The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic Saki, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology Igboora, and Oyo State College of Education Lanlate, have embarked on an indefinite strike. The strike, initiated by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) comprising 15 staff unions, demands the implementation of the new minimum wage and a 25/35% salary increase, as well as increased subvention for the institutions.Β The strike follows unsuccessful negotiations and a previous two-day warning strike in February 2025
