Oyedepo Slams Tinubu Over Insecurity, Warns Government on Killings

​ABEOKUTA — The General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has launched a scathing critique of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, demanding urgent, decisive action against escalating insecurity and severe economic hardship across the country.

​Speaking from the pulpit to a congregation of worshippers, the revered cleric expressed profound outrage over the unabated wave of violent attacks and bloodshed plaguing various regions of Nigeria. Oyedepo accused the federal administration of feigning ignorance and helplessness in the face of widespread violence, asserting that the persistent insecurity bears the hallmarks of high-level sponsorship by powerful figures.

​”The president needs to act now and stop pretending,” Oyedepo stated. “You can’t slaughter members of my family and expect me to pray for you. I will pray against you and your household.”

​”I have not heard any statement from government quarters against the killings. I’m yet to hear one, sir. Are human lives not of value anymore? And now you mustn’t preach in the bus. Is that an issue? Ahn ahn? Do you think we are dummies? We kept quiet waiting for God, and God told me the bubble would burst, and when the bubble burst, no matter where you’re hiding…”

​Directly addressing the architects of the nation’s unrest, Oyedepo warned that divine judgment is imminent for destructive agents operating either within or outside the corridors of power.
