Olusegun Awolowo, Grandson of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Dies at 62

Olusegun Awolowo, esteemed lawyer and grandson of the late Nigerian sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo, has passed away at the age of 62. Olusegun served notably as Executive Director of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) for two consecutive terms, dedicating much of his life to advancing Nigeria’s economic interests.

A respected figure in both the legal and public service sectors, Olusegun was known for his visionary approach to Nigeria’s export development, including pioneering initiatives under the government’s economic diversification agenda.
