The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, has promised to pay a royal visit to his alma mater, Ibadan Boys High School, immediately after his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. The monarch-in-waiting made the commitment on Monday at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan, during a courtesy call from the school’s management team led by Principal Dr. Rasheed Fasasi.
In response to a request from the visiting delegation, Oba Ladoja assured that he would not only visit the school but also personally engage students in classroom activities, specifically teaching Mathematics and Physics—the subjects he once taught when he was a teacher at the institution.
Oba Ladoja expressed his appreciation for the management’s visit and commended the exemplary leadership of Principal Fasasi, noting that it has sustained the school’s status as a model institution. The principal, who also hails from the royal Aliiwo family of Ibadanland, welcomed the prospective visit, highlighting its potential to inspire students and reconnect the monarch with his educational roots.
Dr. Fasasi fondly recalled Oba Ladoja’s tenure as Governor, emphasizing his significant contributions to the welfare of civil servants and his impactful strides in advancing education in the region. He expressed optimism that Oba Ladoja’s reign would usher in a new era of development and prosperity for Ibadan.
The principal congratulated the Olubadan-designate on his upcoming coronation, wishing him a successful and peaceful tenure on the throne.
