​ABEOKUTA – In a decisive move to strengthen the foundational pillars of public education, the Ogun State Government has transitioned more than 300 temporary teachers under the Ogun Teachers Experience Acquisition Channel (OgunTEACh) into permanent civil service appointments.

​The successful educators received their official employment letters during a symbolic presentation ceremony held at the headquarters of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. The development directly fulfills a prior administrative guarantee to reward dedicated personnel at the conclusion of their two-year probationary service.

​Addressing the newly minted civil servants, the Chairman of Ogun SUBEB, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, characterized the recruitment milestone as a direct manifestation of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s vision to systematically eliminate manpower deficits in public schools.

​The structural impact of the intervention scheme was further highlighted by the Permanent Member IV of the Board, Rt. Hon. Akeem Balogun, who lauded the strategic deployment pipelines created by the board. To date, the broader OgunTEACh mechanism has actively engaged thousands of aspiring educators, acting as a crucial workforce buffer for grassroots academic institutions across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas.

​To guarantee that classroom instruction matches national baseline benchmarks, the Coordinating Director of SUBEB, Mr. Femi Fatade, advised the newly regularized personnel to prioritize immediate regulatory compliance. He urged those holding National Certificate in Education (NCE) qualifications to systematically upgrade to degree levels and directed all beneficiaries to finalize their professional listings with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
