Despite his well-known resilience and previous recoveries from health challenges, the news of his sudden demise has left the government and people of Ogun State deeply shaken.
President Buhari was celebrated as a gallant soldier, patriot, and statesman. His leadership—both as a military Head of State and as a two-term civilian president—was marked by a steadfast commitment to discipline, accountability, and national development. Renowned for his integrity, simplicity, and unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s progress, Buhari’s legacy is particularly evident in his achievements in infrastructure and his support for key projects in Ogun State.
The government extends heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, Hajia Aisha Buhari, his immediate family, the people and Government of Katsina State, the Daura Emirate, and the Nigerian Army.
