The newly appointed Executive Director of Finance and Administration of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA), Mr. Ayobami Oyalowo, has committed to fostering accountability and collaboration in support of President Bola Tinubu’s food security agenda. Speaking at an event marking his official resumption, Oyalowo emphasized the importance of revolutionizing Nigeria’s agricultural sector to achieve sustainable food security.
Oyalowo outlined his plans to provide proactive financial support for OORBDA projects, ensuring their successful execution. He stated, “I am committed to fostering a harmonious and collaborative working relationship with the Board, management team, and all staff. Synergy among all levels of the Authority will yield outstanding results in achieving our shared goals.”
He further stressed that his office would prioritize open communication, teamwork, and a conducive work environment to enhance productivity and innovation. Financial prudence, efficiency, and accountability will form the foundation of his leadership, with a focus on judicious resource utilization and adherence to best financial practices.
Oyalowo solicited the cooperation of staff, stakeholders, and partners in achieving OORBDA’s collective aspirations. He expressed confidence that dedication and collaboration would drive unprecedented success for the Authority. He also thanked President Tinubu and the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Joseph Utsev, for their trust in his appointment.
Welcoming Oyalowo and other new executives, the Managing Director and CEO of OORBDA, Dr. Deji Ashiru, described them as professionals capable of actualizing Tinubu’s vision for efficient water resource management to boost food production.
