Odeda LG Election: Musiliu Akindele Chairmanship Aspiration Gets A Boost As Groups Back His ambition

The ambition of Hon Musiliu Akindele to become the Chairman of Odeda Local Government during the November 16 Local Government elections gets a boost over the weekend as some interest groups said he remains the best Aspirant among those jostling for the number One seat in the Local government.

Some Youth Groups and political bigwigs in the local government while showing their support for Akindele, a one time Vice Chairman of Odeda Local Government and former Chairman of Opeji LCDA acknowledged his leadership prowess and commitment to the development of Odeda local government.

Speaking with newsmen at the sideline of Hon. Musiliu Akindele’s visit to Orile Ilugun, Mr Bayo Akamo a member of APC and one of the youth leader in the local government, praised exemplary Leadership style of Akindele as a goal getter while he was serving at various positions in the Local government.

He said Hon Akindele demonstrated capability while holding sway as a former Caretaker Chairman, the APC Chairman in Odeda, and also while he served as Vice Chairman in the Council area.

” We know if given opportunity to be elected as the council boss, he will do more in terms of grassroots development.

“We want to applaud our son, Musiliu Akindele who has done well while he held political office at different times in the local government, either as the Caretaker Vice Chairman of our dear local government, or as the Chairman of Opeji LCDA and others. What he has been able to achieve within the very limited time that he served showed that he knows where the shoes of his people pinch.

“We call on the party leadership both at the local government and state levels to allow Musiliu Akindele to serve his people as the Party flag bearer for the position of chairman.

“We, the Orile Ilugun youths wish to unequivocally pledge our support for Hon. Musiliu Akindele to be elected as the Odeda Local Government chairman. We shall deploy all our arsenals to make sure that he wins the general elections if the party gives him the ticket

“Akindele is a committed party man,a true Democrat,who is very steadfast in what he believes in. The party cannot afford to put the council in-care of a novice who doesn’t believe in the ideals of our party, APC

“It’s also important that we urge members of our great party to support Musiliu Akindele so that he can continue with the good work that his Excellency ,the executive governor of Ogun State ,Prince Dapo Abiodun has embarked on and replicate such at the grassroots.
