The leaderships of Organizer labour comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have ordered their members to embark on a nationwide strike from November 14.
ValidViewNetwork had earlier reported that the leadership of the labour bodies on Tuesday called for an extraordinary national executive council (NEC).
Speaking after the extraordinary national executive council (NEC) meeting, the unions said nationwide mobilisation of members and allies have begun immediately.
The announcement comes days after the president of NLC, Joe Ajaero, was reportedly brutalized after he was picked up from the Imo council secretariat of the congress in Owerri by heavily armed police officers.
