UK-Based Nigerian Man Dies in Sleep

SWANSEA, United Kingdom — The Nigerian and wider African diaspora communities in the United Kingdom have been thrown into mourning following the sudden peaceful passing of Kayode Ogunbodede, a well-known and active community member in Wales.

​Ogunbodede, affectionately called “Kay” by friends and family, reportedly died in his sleep during the early hours of Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his residence in Swansea, Wales.
