Nigeria Police Secures Strategic INTERPOL Africa Committee Seat as CP Olubode Ojajuni Wins Election

The Nigeria Police Force has achieved a significant international breakthrough with Commissioner of Police Olubode Ojajuni’s election to the INTERPOL Africa Committee, securing Nigeria’s fifth seat on the prestigious body. The election took place at the 27th African Regional Conference held recently in Cape Town, South Africa.

CP Ojajuni will serve a two-year tenure on the committee, which is charged with advising the African Regional Conference on its mandate, facilitating its sessions, and setting strategic crime-fighting priorities. The committee plays a vital role in enhancing police cooperation across African borders, promoting best practices, and developing projects that strengthen both regional and continental security.

This victory highlights Nigeria’s expanding influence and leadership within the global law enforcement community, particularly in efforts to combat transnational crime, terrorism, and emerging security threats.
