NIGERIA 2027

POLITICS is an interesting game.
OFTEN, it is based on permutation: eyi je, eyi o je (like Yoruba often say).

THOUGH, politicians can not really be trusted because of their deceptions, particularly from past experiences over their deviation from the planned promises cum manifestos made during election campaigns, but we can not do without them in our democratic journey.

HOWEVER, while Nigerians are free to re-elect incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, apparently to complete the South’s second term, but the best way (to my comprehension) to replace him is for the opposition parties [if they’re still really opposition, indeed] to descend “so low” by picking ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in a coalition, which should be supported by ALL other “patriotic” political parties to face Tinubu in the coming general elections.

WE can, or rather should, forget Jonathan’s “misrulership” during his tenure and Atiku’s “accomplice” under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, hoping that their past leadership experiences shall guide them in the right path to save Nigeria in 2027 and turn around the fortune of our dear country for good – better than this “Renewed Hope” that lacks obviously discernible adequate hope.

THIS Jonathan-Atiku pair should be seen as a “team on a rescue mission” based on their past experiences having prior occupied such exalted positions – hoping that they will be “patriotic” this time around.

FURTHERMORE, my suggestion is that Jonathan will spend only ONE term and Atiku, if Allah spares his life, shall take over after him for one term, as President, and thereafter quit power cum politics.

INDEED, this is a practical approach that Peter Obi can fit INTO: in an appropriate political position where he should be accommodated to play significant roles in reshaping Nigeria in the right direction. Other candidates, too, shall play their roles in relevant political positions based on their experiences or choices that are accommodateable.

THIS suggestion may appear strange, but it is just my candid opinion, which I’m free to express in line with our freedom of expression constitutional guaranteed provision, without any “political bashing” from opponents of this proposed arrangement. And if you lambast me, I’ll just read and “waka go.”

OTHERWISE, let’s just take it that the “less-performed” and “highly disappointing” [yes, disappointing] Tinubu has easily been handed second term, if something dramatic didn’t happen before then, in 2027.

IF you reject this “spiritual” political arrangement now, or accept it, you’ll still remember this great suggestion when the time comes.

ALTERNATIVELY, abandon all the present political gladiators, right from Tinubu to the least, and go for “fresh” crop of patriotic Nigerians in a combination of “trusted” politicians and, or, capably trusted technocrats to take the leadership of our dear country. This is because the time to save the bleeding Nigeria is NOW, not next time.
