National Association of Seadogs,Abeokuta and Ijebu Ode Decks,Intensify Anti-Cultism Campaign in Secondary Schools

Abeokuta, Ogun State – In a determined effort to curb the growing menace of cultism among secondary school students, the Ash Montana Deck of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS), Abeokuta, collaborated with the Katamaran Deck (Ijebu Ode) to conduct a series of impactful sensitization campaigns across several secondary schools in the Ogun State capital.

Under the theme, “Combating Cultism in Secondary Schools,” the joint initiative reached students at Lisabi Grammar School, Abeokuta Grammar School, Baptist Girls High School, Abeokuta, and Ogun State Technical College, Abeokuta. The campaign’s core message, “Shun Cultism, Speak Out, Educate and Protect Our Children,” resonated strongly with the students.

Speaking during the program, Oluwatoyin Peter, Capoon of Ash Montana Deck, NAS, emphasized the critical need to educate young minds about the dangers and consequences associated with cultism. He urged students to resist any form of recruitment and to promptly report any advances from cult groups.

Adding his voice, Ninilola Majelodunmi, First Mate of Katamaran Deck, underscored the severe repercussions of cult membership, highlighting the importance of making informed decisions and choosing positive paths.

Babatunde Folarin, a member of Ash Montana Deck, further advised any individual, regardless of background, currently involved in cultism to renounce their membership. He assured them of potential rehabilitation and reintegration into society with governmental support.

The sensitization campaign was well-received by the students, many of whom expressed their appreciation for the timely and crucial information shared. This proactive step by the National Association of Seadogs demonstrates their commitment to fostering a safe and positive learning environment for young people in Ogun State.
