the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of Schools and Colleges called for an end to the career stagnation of its members at Salary Grade Level 14 in the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
The union highlighted that some of their colleagues in other states within the South West region have been experiencing career progression without stagnation for several years.
Comrade Oduneye Olumide, the Chairman of the state chapter of the union, conveyed this message during an interview with newsmen at his office in Abeokuta.

Comrade Olumide appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun to intervene and address the stagnation issue in the career progression of NASU members in Ogun State public secondary schools and technical colleges.
He emphasized that counterparts in other states across the country were attaining Salary Grade Level 17 before retirement.
Furthermore, he referenced executive officers in the judiciary and some of their colleagues in Ogun State SUBEB who were allowed to attain Salary Grade Level 16.
NASU is advocating for similar opportunities for its members to progress in their careers without hindrance.
