Comedian and actor Adebowale Adedayo, known as Mr Macaroni, recently explained his stance on Wizkid’s remarks regarding Don Jazzy during a live show on Wazobia TV in Lagos.
Mr Macaroni acknowledged Don Jazzy as a significant influencer in Africa’s entertainment industry, highlighting his immense impact across music and film.
Despite this recognition, he deemed Wizkid’s characterization of Don Jazzy as merely an ‘influencer’ as disrespectful due to the context in which it was presented.

Describing Don Jazzy as a champion and influential figure, Mr Macaroni highlighted his ability to elevate content creators and filmmakers through collaboration, underscoring his far-reaching influence beyond music.
While acknowledging Wizkid’s right to express his opinion, Mr Macaroni criticized the manner in which the term ‘influencer’ was used, particularly in the context of dismissing Don Jazzy’s significance.
Wizkid’s tweets, which included mocking Davido and Don Jazzy, sparked controversy and drew criticism from various quarters, including celebrities like Cubana Chief Priest.
