“Most Successful Nation Ever”: Trump Praises America, Hails Founding Presidents

The US President Donald Trump on Friday delivered a stirring speech at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary. The massive granite monument featuring the carved faces of former Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln provided a dramatic stage as Trump paid tribute to America’s founding legacy and enduring national identity.

During his address, Trump praised the historic leaders immortalised on the mountain, declaring that they “could only be made in the USA” and emphasising that they had gathered at the monument to express gratitude to the presidents who helped make the United States the “most successful nation ever.”

ValidViewNetwork reports that the President’s remarks were delivered between two towering screens as the illuminated stone faces glowed in the night sky.

Trump has previously made comments suggesting that his own likeness should be added to Mount Rushmore, and he has even shared AI‑generated images depicting his face carved into the Black Hills monument in South Dakota. While such comments have sparked debate and humour online, the President’s speech on Friday focused squarely on national pride and the legacy of American leadership.

As fireworks lit up the sky behind the four presidential faces, the scene captured a symbolic fusion of history, celebration and political theatre. Reuters images showed Trump standing before the monument, framed by bright screens and the dramatic lighting that cast the stone figures into sharp relief.
