The new Nigeria Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Development was born in Itoko Abeokuta Ogun State.
‘Bosun attended the prestigious Abeokuta Grammar School, then proceeded to the University of Jos (UNIJOS) to study Computer Science and also had a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics
Bosun then went to the UK for his Master’s degree in Information Systems and Management from Warwick Business School and a PhD. in Innovation and Economic Development at the University of Leicester.
Bosun Tijani is the one who brought Google, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms to Nigeria through CcHub Tech. the first Nigeria tech hub he founded in 2010, and which is now the largest HUB in Africa with a physical presence in other African countries such as Kenya.While receiving the Minister designate for Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Governor Dapo Abiodun highlighted several commendable initiatives undertaken in the area of information communication and technology development under his administration.
Notably, these endeavors encompasses the establishment of a TechHub, the launch of the Digital Economy Infrastructure program involving the installation of Fiber Optic cables throughout the state, facilitating convenient internet connectivity in crucial sectors such as education and healthcare.
