The Lagos Police Command has arrested one Vincent Ukpai for the m8rder of his neighbour and her son at Elemoro, in the Lekki area of the state.
The incident occurred on Sunday, September 15, 2024, during a dispute over the responsibility of cleaning their shared compound.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident on Monday, said the argument escalated when Ukpai attacked Gloria and her son with a weapon, k!lling them both.
“At about 10:50 pm on September 15, 2024, information was received at the Elemoro Division that one Vincent Ukpai had k!lled his neighbour, Gloria and her son during an argument,” the PPRO stated.
“Detectives from the Elemoro Police Station in Lekki swiftly responded to the scene, leading to Ukpai’s arrest.
“The bodies of Gloria and her son were recovered and transported to the Epe General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation. The investigation is ongoing.”
