Makinde Appoints New Governing Councils for Oyo Tertiary Institutions

IBADAN, OYO STATE – Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the appointment of chairmen and members for the governing councils and boards of tertiary institutions across the state. The announcement, contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, marks a significant step towards reinforcing the leadership and strategic direction of these vital educational institutions.

The appointments, which took effect on May 22, 2025, are expected to bring fresh perspectives and strengthen governance in the institutions. The newly constituted councils are tasked with overseeing policy formulation, financial management, and overall development of their respective institutions.
