Lagos, Nigeria – March 30, 2025 – The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended Arokodare Damil Ebenezer, a 43-year-old Lekki-based businessman and owner of Damillionz Takeout, for allegedly importing a substantial shipment of illicit drugs from the United States.
Ebenezer was arrested on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Bay Lounge, Admiralty Way, Lekki, where he conducted his drug operations. The arrest followed the seizure of 60 parcels of “Loud,” a potent strain of cannabis, which arrived in Nigeria on March 12, 2025, in seven large cartons at a logistics company in Lagos.
The seizure was made by NDLEA operatives from the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation.
Following his arrest, a search of Ebenezer’s Lekki residence yielded an additional 94 grams of the same psychoactive substance, a cannabis crusher, and other drug-related paraphernalia. The total weight of the seized drugs amounted to 32.24 kilograms.
In his statement to the NDLEA, Ebenezer admitted to engaging in the illicit drug trade since 2017.
“This arrest underscores the NDLEA’s continued commitment to combating drug trafficking and protecting our communities,” stated Femi Babafemi, Director of Media & Advocacy, NDLEA Headquarters, Abuja.
The NDLEA is continuing its investigation into the case.
