Fortunately, Sego was not at home during the attack. Sources disclosed that the assailants arrived at his residence on Gbadamosi Close around 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they tied up the security guard and ransacked the house in search of the union leader. Sego had left earlier for an event with associates who had visited him earlier in the day.
The incident has left residents of the area in shock and fear, with many expressing concerns about potential future attacks. Police officers from Area C Command visited the scene to assess damages and interrogate the security guard, who reportedly provided critical information for the investigation.
A close associate revealed that Sego is deeply concerned about being targeted, especially as he is implementing policies aimed at improving NURTW members’ welfare. The union leader has pledged full cooperation with security agencies to ensure that those responsible for the attack are brought to justice.
