Labour Party National Working Committee under the Leadership of Ag National Chairman Alhaji Lamidi Apapa joined political family, friends immediate family and other well wishers in celebrating the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District and former Ogun State Governor, Senator Gbenga Daniel, on his 68th birthday.
In a statement signed by Abayomi Arabambi, the spokesperson for the Party, It rejoiced with family members, friends and associates, both in business and politics, of the former governor, who began his political career as a member of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s, Committee of Friends, before joining the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) as a student in the 1970s.
Labour Party said the unparalleled contribution and landmark achievements of the former Ogun State Governor while administering the State between 2013 to 2011, are still there standing tall in all the zones of the Gateway State.
The Party also appreciate Daniel:s contributions to the State, the country’s political and economic development, including the establishment of engineering and hospitality businesses that employ and train young people in entrepreneurship, the establishment of a Political Leadership Academy (POLA) for grooming young people in leadership and governance, and the Gateway Front Foundation for philanthropy.
Labour Party also has been witnessed to various empowerment programme of the Senator since he got to the Red Chamber about a year ago, these empowerment programmes has no doubt reduce poverty level among the populace in Ogun East.
Labour Party praised the courage of the Senator, his diligence, and visionary leadership style, which has resulted in better lives for many of the people in Ogun East, the entire Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
The Party prayed for the wellbeing of the Senator and wish Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Ogun State Governor, 2003 to 2011, and his family long live and prosperity. Happy birthday.
