A woman identified as Sunday Damilola Christiana is fighting for her life in a hospital as a result of life threatening injuries he sustained when her boyfriend of three years, Kehinde Olanipekun, hacked her with a machete in Owo, Ondo State.
Kehinde Olanipekun reportedly attacked Sunday Damilola Christianah on Monday, October 2, when he visited the victim’s house after she had told him she couldn’t date him anymore because of his abusive behaviour towards her.
He attacked her with a machete, leaving her with deep cuts on her head, face, arms, thighs and other body parts.
Neighbours who heard screams rushed to Damilola’s apartment but the suspect allegedly threatened them with the machete and locked her up before absconding.
The victim is receiving treatment at Adelabu hospital in Owo, Ondo State.
