Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed his deep pains over the situation of Nigerian youths while encouraging them to get prepared for the good time and take advantage of it. .
Obasanjo stated this during the 26th edition of BOILING POINT ARENA.
He said, ”I cannot say maybe it is good or not good to japa considering the situation in the country as it affects the youths. However, I will encourage those who have ‘japa’ to be preparing to return. Some returned while I was the President and a number of them stayed back.
According to the Former Head of State, ”Nigeria will be great again”.
Speaking further, Obasanjo charged the youths to get prepared for the challenges ahead by acquiring training and skills that will drive the economy in years to come as the world becomes an automated environment.
”During our time, we had limited facilities but almost unlimited opportunities. Today, you have almost unlimited facilities but the opportunities you have are very small. So , what can we do? I will say that there is no time that you will not get the bad time closing and good time coming. I am an incurable optimist that Nigeria will be great”.
”Only tough people survive tough times. I charge the youths to get prepared with adequate knowledge and skills.”
The much-publicized One-on-One live interview with former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the popular monthly discourse, BOILING POINT ARENA attracted participants from different parts of the world.
The program powered by three top radio stations in Nigeria and the London-based Ben Television ran for two hours with the former president firing from from all cylinders.
The radio stations are WASH 94.9FM, Lagos, Sweet 107.1FM, Abeokuta and Eagle 7 Radio 103.7FM, owned by legendary footballer, Dr Segun Odegbami.
The Former President was unambiguous in the fact that he was not interested in politics but deeply concerned with good governance.
