Jamiu Badmos Installed Seriki of Igangan Land

A great Alumnus of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Alhaji Jamiu Adebayo Ayinde Badmos has been installed as the Seriki Of Igangan Land, Oyo State, Nigeria.

Eminent personalities from all walks of life led by HRM Oba Abdulrafiu Adeniyi Olaniyi Ariwoola (Aako II), the Asigangan of Igangan Land on Saturday converged at Ansar-U-deen School I, Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government, Oyo State for the installation.

The installation was carried out by the King Makers to the admiration and commendation of all. The installation was part of the activities commemorating the first anniversary of HRM Oba Abdulrafiu Adeniyi Olaniyi Ariwoola (Aako II), the Asigangan of Igangan Land.

The Seriki stool of Igangan Land had been vacant for almost a century and the installation of a new Seriki was a momentous occasion for the town. The new Seriki emerged from Seriki compound known as Ile Atewogboorun ( meaning the house that uses hand to receive swords from external enemies).

Born on April 18^th, 1974 to the family of Alhaji Wahab Ishola Adeoti and Alhaja Salimot Omotunba Abewon Gbadamosi of Seriki Compound, Isale Akao, Igangan. Alhaji Badmos started his educational career with Ansar-Ud-deen Primary School between 1980-1986 before proceeding to Oke Aako High School in 1986-1989 for Junior Secondary School and in 1989-1992 he graduated from Igangan High School where he obtained his WASCE. In 1995 he was admitted to the prestigious University of Agriculture Abeokuta now FUNAAB where he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Environmental Management and Toxicology in the year 2000.

During the mandatory one-year NYSC, Alh. Jamiu emerged the overall best Corper of the year in Imo state and he was bestowed with a meritorious award by H.E Achike Udenwa, the then Executive Governor of Imo State and also National Youth Service Corps Governing Council.

Alhaji (Chief) Jamiu has a master’s degree in Risk, Hazard Management and Developmental Studies. He is a Certified Senior Project Manager and belongs to the International Association of Project Managers. He is a certified facility manager, procurement and contract manager and currently pursuing another master in Business Administration with an option in Human Resources Management at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta..

Alhaji (Chief) Jamiu, belongs to several professional bodies. He is a member of the International Association of Project Managers (CSPM-IAPM). Member American Society of Health, Safety and Environment, Chairperson, Nigerian Environmental Society Abeokuta Chapter, Member, Association of Accredited Environmental Consultant of Nigeria, Chairman Igangan Community Development Abeokuta Chapter, Former Chairman, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta Alumni Association, Odeda Chapter and Former Assistant General Secretary NASFAT-Abuja Branch.

Alhaji Jamiu records of service in both public and private sectors is top-notch and highly distinguishing. He is MD/CEO of Jammod Resources Limited one of the leading Environmental Consultant firms in Nigeria.

Sharing his views, Alhaji Jamiu asserted that the installation has renewed his commitment to the development of Igangan Land and Nigeria in Nigera.
