The Commissioner of Police (CP) in Ogun State, Abiodun Alamutu, has said that investigation into the murder of the late Director of Finance at the governor’s office, Taiwo Oyekanmi, is now at an advanced stage.

Late Oyekanmi was shot on November 29, by armed robbers who ambushed a bullion van attached to him carrying government funds in Abeokuta.

Governor Dapo Abiodun later placed a reward of N50m for anyone who had information that could lead to the arrest of the killers.
Alamutu gave an update on the incident while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command in 2023.
