The Yoruba Nation campaigner, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has condemned the invasion of the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, in Ibadan by some unscrupulous persons on Saturday.
In a fresh statement on Sunday in Abuja through his lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, Igboho dissociated himself from the aggressors who claimed to be Yoruba Nation agitators.
Igboho, who restated his stance for non-violent and peaceful agitation, condemned the attack by the aggressors in strong terms.
He said, “The attack by some persons on the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, is condemnable and criminal. The act by the aggressors is against my non-violent and peaceful stance for self-determination.
“I must put it on record that I do not know the attackers and they don’t represent me in any way.
“I believe self-struggle can be attained in a non-violent manner. Aggrieved individuals can engage the government constructively through civil engagement.
“Already, the authorities have taken up the matter. Civil disturbance and vandalisation of any kind should not be tolerated.”
