“I Was Paid to Act as a Cripple”: Veteran Actor Yemi Solade Reveals How He Faked a Church Miracle Before Fame

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that he was once paid to pretend to have a physical disability during a staged church miracle service.

Solade, who made the disclosure in an interview with Feel Right News TV, said he used the money to drink as a student and declined to name those involved because they are still alive.

A Shocking Revelation

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that he once accepted money to pretend to have a physical disability during a staged church miracle service.

Solade made the disclosure in an interview with Feel Right News TV, recalling an incident that happened when he was still a student and had yet to establish himself as a popular actor.

The Confession

According to the veteran actor, he was recruited to act as a cripple during the service and was paid for his participation.

“I have been used for a miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student,” Solade said.

The actor said the experience occurred during his early years, before he became a recognised figure in Nollywood. Solade, however, declined to disclose the identities of the people involved, explaining that they are still alive.

“The people involved are still alive; I just don’t want to mention names,” he said.

A Broader Issue

His revelation has drawn attention to the issue of staged miracles and the alleged use of people to create the appearance of supernatural healings during religious services.

Solade’s account provides a personal recollection of an incident he said he was involved in as a young student, long before his acting career brought him widespread recognition.

A Lesson for Nigeria

Yemi Solade’s confession is a reminder that not everything that glitters in the house of God is gold.

The same preachers who stage miracles will never allow their own children to be deceived by such fraud.

Their families are protected.

For Nigeria, the lesson is clear: spiritual discernment is essential. The same leaders who claim to perform miracles will never allow their own families to be victims of deception.

But for millions of desperate Nigerians seeking divine intervention, the cost of such fraud is immeasurable.

Seek truth. Demand accountability. And never forget that true faith does not need to be staged.
