ValidViewNetwork can confirm that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending about four weeks in Europe.
The Presidency described the trip as a working vacation.
Tinubu left Nigeria on August 30, travelling first to London before moving to Paris. His extended absence became a subject of political discussion, particularly as the 81st United Nations General Assembly took place in New York.
Tinubu did not attend the UNGA in person. Vice President Kashim Shettima represented Nigeria at the gathering.
Tinubu returned to Lagos on Tuesday evening and was asked about his condition. He responded:”I am hale and strong. I am ready to work. The fact remains that I am here, healthy, sound and ready to go.”
The President’s return comes as Nigeria approaches its 66th Independence Anniversary. ValidViewNetwork reports.
