Hiding Ogun Chairman suspended by Seven Councilors Over Allegation of financial mismanagement

Councilors in the Ijebu-East Local Government of Ogun state on Thursday suspended the chairman of the council, Wale Adedayo over series of allegation leveled against him.

Adedayo’s trouble began after he wrote a letter to former Governor of the state, Segun Osoba and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing Governor Dapo Abiodun of diverting local government funds.

Following the allegation, Governor Abiodun had in a statement by his Chief press secretary debunked the allegation.

Members of the ALGON had also apologized to the governor and even prostrated to him to seek forgiveness.

The matter however took a new twist on Thursday when armed men and political thugs reportedly took over the Ijebu East LG secretariat.

Adedayo in a Facebook post said, “invading peaceful Ogbere community with mobile policemen in order to impeach Wale Adedayo is desperation. As I told the SSG yesterday, we took an oath with our fathers that that we’ll make this land better than we met it. You can kill the body, but not the spirit of Wale Adedayo.”
