Gunmen believed to be kidnappers have launched an attack on a Celestial Church in Ogun State, resulting in the abduction of two worshippers named Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola.
The incident took place near Oriyarin village, Mowe, situated in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State on Thursday.
According to a statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, the perpetrators fled the scene through a dense forest located behind the church.

The statement reads, “Suspected kidnapping: Reports available to me indicate that on 28/3/2024, unidentified gunmen invaded a Celestial Church around Oriyarin village, Mowe, and abducted one Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola, escaping through the thick forest behind the church.”
Odutola further stated, “The Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun, has been briefed, and he has ordered the immediate mobilization of security personnel to pursue the hoodlums.”
