Makinde Praised for Intentional Leadership and Transformative Projects in Oyo

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, is being widely commended for his intentional leadership and transformative development initiatives across the state, according to Mrs. Olanike Mustapha, CEO of Pams Travels & Tours Limited.

In an exclusive interview, Mrs. Mustapha highlighted the governor’s commitment to improving the lives of Oyo residents through substantial infrastructural projects. She cited the repair of a troublesome bridge in Apete that had long been a source of hardship, now restored to great relief and satisfaction of the local community.

“The governor’s work is ongoing and evident,” she said. “We now have better roads, not just patchwork but sustainable projects that enhance connectivity and commerce across both urban and rural areas. Farmers can transport their produce more easily to markets, boosting their income and livelihoods.”

Economically, Makinde’s administration has spurred growth with increased investment and an improved quality of life, drawing Lagosians to build homes and take respite in Ibadan, thereby generating more revenue for the state.

Significant strides have been made in the tourism sector as well, with the creation of a dedicated Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the renovation of Ibadan Airport to international standards. These initiatives are designed to attract investors and promote sustainable development across Oyo’s five geopolitical zones.
