The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), located in Okeogun, Oyo State, is poised to begin academic activities in November 2025. In anticipation of this milestone, the university is also set to initiate its first cycle of admissions, opening its doors to prospective students eager to join a new institution dedicated to excellence in agriculture and technology.
With its forthcoming resumption, FUNATO promises to enrich Nigeria’s higher education landscape, offering a breadth of innovative programs designed to equip students with cutting-edge skills in vital fields. The launch signifies more than an institutional milestone—it represents a beacon of growth and opportunity for the entire Okeogun region.
This development has been met with enthusiasm across Okeogun, as leaders, stakeholders, politicians, traditional rulers, and concerned citizens all express their support for the university’s mission. Many believe that FUNATO’s presence will serve as a catalyst for academic, technological, and socioeconomic advancement throughout the community.
As preparations intensify, organizers assure the public that the university is committed to providing a welcoming academic environment. The anticipation surrounding FUNATO underscores both a collective pride in Okeogun’s progress and a hopeful outlook for the university’s future impact on local and national development.
May the institution’s journey be marked by success and may Okeogun’s leaders and supporters continue to pave the way for generational transformation.
